Powerful article Kathleen! Thank you 🙏

It 💯 works! We have used these techniques many times over the years and the outcomes are magical.

I love how you explained and guided us through the visualization and then explained the science behind it and why it works.

So glad you also explained the complexities of pain. So often folks have no idea how pain works in the body and mind nor the synergies of our whole body. Excellent read 🧡

thank you, JR. It does affect everything. We are body mind and spirit. It's cyclic.

I know in the west we think of things more than a linear fashion, but it's not true. I mean it's the cycle of life. This is one thing I really did learn while I was an acupuncture school in the year 2000.

Many of us had headaches every single day and we got treated because we were now thinking more cyclic than linear.

I appreciate your thoughtful comment 🤗

Remember the time I had panic attacks after giving birth. I tried this technique and "This too shall Pass"

Yes, Kristina it works for everything. and I do understand panic attacks I used to have them all the time I'm healed from that but the main thing is shifting our focus. You know there's another thing where it's called the 54321 method and it's not about breathing it's about using our five senses. I should do a article on that

Loved the story that opened this article, Kathleen. So wonderful that you can help people manage their pain this way.

I have thousands of stories. I was hoping it wasn't too long, but I needed to get the point across and narrowed it down as far as I could. I no longer work in the hospital system and work from home here helping others. And people don't realize that the paint is also emotional and mental- we are body mind and spirit. it's cyclic.

Happy new year, Sheri 🎉

And I learn from you as well.

It's mutual. Isn't that a fantastic thing?

People should share and learn from each other - always...

thank you, Tim 🙏 it's like I said in another comment it's just too important to pay wall. Not that the other articles aren't really important because they are, but we all have to make a living.

Thank you for your support. I really appreciate it Tim.

You have a gift. Thank you for sharing this tool with us. The story makes me more sympathetic to what it’s like going through surgery.

thank you, Emily. We all have many gifts. We just need to use them.

The thing is, it's not even just with surgery. People suffer every day from emotional and mental pain which can go into that vicious cycle of turning into physical pain and vice versa.

It's why I'm here to help others . It's my calling. Thank you for your support, I really appreciate it 🙏

Kathleen, I wished you have been there when I was giving birth. No amount of laughing gas could ease the pain and I would have willingly cut off my arm in order to stop the pain.

What a wonderful thing you did for that girl, you brought such peace and relief to them.

I've done it with thousands of others and the thing is it's so funny that you say that about when you're giving birth. Not the part about the pain, but I was actually with my sister in the birthing room when she was giving birth to my niece and she didn't want to take any medication and so you know how you come to that point after that they can't give you any?

she was screaming. She kicked her husband out of the room and the doctor said I was pushing so hard with her that he thought I was gonna pass out, but I was there for her and worked with her a bit. I'm not saying that it took the pain away completely because it certainly didn't, but I know it definitely helped

There's been cases where people have actually had surgery and had someone in the OR with them that did this type of thing. Our bodies are amazing!

I absolutely know that through this publication and my supporters I will be able to continue to help others.

I felt like this was too important to pay wall. I'm not saying the paywall content isn't very important, but we all have to make a living 😉

I say we should always value our content, so it's good to paywall some of our content, as long as they provide value to our readers.

Going slightly off topic here, but maybe you could start a training program for others to learn your technique?

This was incredibly helpful. You're offering a gift that I can now pass along to someone who is in physical or emotional pain. It's also great to know the mechanics of how guided imagery works. I love it. thank you! 🙌🏽💕

You're welcome, Rev. Evelyn. Isn't it fascinating that God has given us everything that we need if we just tap into it and listen to it?

I'm not saying that we don't need medical care from time to time. It's actually my last choice.

But with the addiction and opiate overdose going on these days, we really need to find an alternative and it's amazing how the body can heal itself if we just know what to do and how to do it.... that's why I'm here to help others and teach them what I know and learn from them, and we pass it onto each other.

God bless you and thank you again 🙏

Wow this is so beautiful. I have never thought of this for pain relief. I do guided visualization meditation for my mindful art experiences.

Yes Maria. I’ve used it so many times over almost a 30 year career. I could write thousands of stories about it. I use it all the time with my mom when she has anxiety attacks and affects her blood pressure tremendously and that’s what actually caused her stroke. The hypertension from the anxiety. If she had let me do it more often then we might not be where we are now. But I can’t force anyone to do anything it’s their decision, and I have to honor that.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting. It sounds like you’re using it for different purpose and it’s working for you. That’s awesome 🙏
