This hit deep. It’s so easy to get caught up in routines and expectations without ever pausing to ask ourselves if this is truly the life we want. The questions you posed are powerful, and honestly, a little uncomfortable… but in the best way. Because discomfort, like you said, is a sign that something isn’t right. Thank you for this—it’s a wake-up call I won’t ignore.

I keep saying this, but something is in the air and I think a lot of people are going through this right now. I've spoken with so many people over the last couple weeks and it seems a common theme and another thing is about you know clarity in our lives and our purpose so I'm glad it resonated. I really appreciate you 🙏

I love this! I definitely needed to hear this, Kathleen...I'm dealing with this right now. I love how you mentioned that you don't need the answers right away. So good. Thank you for this "wake up" call.

Great wake-up call. And the advice to stop, sit, and look for the answers from inside.

Last year, the wife and I realized we had lived our entire lives for our family. Raising kids and taking care of parents.

We chose where to live based on how we wanted to raise them. What kind of environment was best for them. We planned so that we could take care of my elderly parents. We got careers that fit those parameters.

We ended up with friends who matched the location, parameters, and careers.

And then the kids moved out, the friends got stuck in their ways, and we were left wondering why we did this again?

So now we have our own agenda.

I do get it Tim, been there a long time myself in a little bit different capacity.

Glad you and your wife are doing what you want to do for yourselves.

I am still taking care of mom/stepfather out in the country on our ten acres. Take care of that too but I love it. Being outdoors, I can connect with God/nature/animals, be in the soil and grow food etc.

The good thing is living this lifestyle has allowed me to become more food, energy and water independence. Self reliant.
